It's tax season and scammers know it. Inland Revenue NZ has started to get in contact with businesses and people about their tax and refunds. Scammers use this to their advantage and may send you messages pretending to be IRD, also known as phishing, targeting your myIR account or your money. You can protect yourself from phishing with a few simple steps: • Think before your click. • Use long, strong and unique passwords for your myIR account and email. • Turn on two-step verification (also called two-factor authentication). IRD now offers two-step verification on myIR accounts. Find out more about spotting phishing scams at https://lnkd.in/gJarMtyJ
